Hi, I know that we all like a little advice every now and again. Well, I was a home-based travel agent for a couple of years, which was essentially a waste of time. However, my host agency was Academy Cruises and Tours out of San Luis Obispo, CA. Stay away from this company, they DO NOT pay their agents the commissions promised. Tripology

Has anyone ever used Tripology. They supply travel agent leads, which of course are purchased. A minimum of $25 has to be put down, and the leads are usually about $5 per lead. Is this a waste of time and money or do agents really get results from it????

Where in the world do home-based agents find their clients????? It seems to me that the ones making the money as home-based travel agents are the ones convincing people that they can be "one". I have placed ads in the newspaper, not classifieds, display ads, and so far the turn-out has not been very good, not very good at all. Even targeted a specific group, placed another display ad, and so far nothing.

Mini Itins printers??? Help!

I have a friend who just bought some mini itins. I am totally new to this, so I have no clue. Does anybody know what type of printer you are supposed to use to print these on? Anybody that has ever bought this product from these guys? I am not accredited or anything, she isn't either, we are just getting them so we can have something to hand out. I am not certain if there is any other place to get them? Anyway... you can tell I am totally lost. So... any and all advice or...

Niche Host Agencies

I see a lot of posts on this and other boards about host agencies. Everyone says that in order to make it in travel, you have to specialize in something. But have you ever noticed how few niche host agencies there are? I know of a couple of Disney one's but rarely hear of any others.
We thought that was strange, and decided to do something about it.
